Open Access Policy

1. Open Access Commitment

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Confluence (IJMRC) is committed to facilitating broad and responsible access to scholarly research. Articles and other publications designated by IJMRC as open access are made available online to readers without a subscription requirement for individual article access, subject to the applicable copyright, licensing, and journal policies.

The journal's open access approach is intended to support the dissemination, discovery, reading, citation, and responsible scholarly use of published research.

Open access does not mean that an article is free from copyright protection. Copyright and other intellectual property rights remain applicable unless expressly provided otherwise by the relevant licence or applicable law.

2. Access to Open Access Publications

Publications designated as open access by IJMRC may be accessed online through the journal's official website, subject to website availability and applicable technical or legal requirements.

Readers may access, read, download, and use open access publications for legitimate purposes in accordance with the rights granted by the applicable copyright licence.

The fact that a publication can be accessed without a subscription does not automatically grant unrestricted rights to reproduce, modify, distribute, translate, commercially exploit, or otherwise reuse the publication.

3. Copyright and Applicable Licence

Copyright ownership and licensing arrangements for IJMRC publications are governed by the journal's Copyright & Licensing Policy, the applicable publishing agreement, and the licence identified for the individual publication.

The licence displayed or identified with an individual article or publication governs the permitted reuse of that specific publication. Users should therefore review the licence associated with the relevant article before reproducing, adapting, distributing, translating, or otherwise reusing its content.

Where a publication is released under a Creative Commons or another open licence, the rights and restrictions stated in that licence apply.

Important: Open access should not be interpreted as unrestricted reuse. Users must comply with the copyright, attribution, licensing, and other conditions applicable to the individual publication.

4. Author Rights and Sharing

IJMRC recognizes the importance of appropriate author rights in scholarly publishing. The rights retained by authors and the permissions granted to readers and other users depend on the applicable copyright arrangement, publishing agreement, and licence.

Authors may share their published work through personal, academic, institutional, or other legitimate channels where such sharing is permitted by the applicable licence, publishing agreement, and law.

When sharing an IJMRC publication, authors and other users are encouraged to retain the original bibliographic information and provide an appropriate citation and, where available, a link to the official IJMRC publication page.

5. Repository and Institutional Archiving

IJMRC supports responsible scholarly dissemination through appropriate institutional and academic repositories where permitted by the copyright, licensing, publishing, and other applicable terms.

Deposited versions should retain appropriate author, article, journal, copyright, licensing, and bibliographic information where required.

Repository deposit does not transfer copyright ownership to the repository or to the person making the deposit.

6. Reuse and Attribution

Permitted reuse depends on the licence applicable to the individual publication. Depending on that licence, permitted activities may include reading, downloading, sharing, citation, repository deposit, adaptation, translation, or redistribution.

Where attribution is required, users must provide appropriate credit to the author or authors and the original publication and must comply with any other conditions specified by the applicable licence.

Users must not imply that IJMRC or the original author endorses a subsequent adaptation, interpretation, product, service, or other use unless such endorsement has been expressly provided.

7. Publication Fees and Open Access

Open access availability and publication charges are separate matters. The availability of an article as open access does not, by itself, establish whether any submission, publication, processing, or other fee is payable.

Where IJMRC applies any publication-related fee, the applicable amount, payment requirements, waivers, exemptions, or other conditions will be stated separately in the journal's official fee information.

Authors should consult the current Fees & Funding information before submitting a manuscript.

8. Editorial Independence

Open access status does not alter IJMRC's editorial standards or publication requirements. Manuscripts remain subject to the journal's applicable scope, editorial assessment, peer-review procedures, publication ethics requirements, and other editorial policies.

The payment or non-payment of any applicable publication charge does not by itself determine whether a manuscript will be accepted for publication. Editorial decisions are made in accordance with the journal's applicable editorial procedures and policies.

9. Corrections, Retractions, and the Scholarly Record

Open access publications remain subject to IJMRC's publication ethics and research integrity procedures.

Where necessary to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record, IJMRC may publish corrections, clarifications, expressions of concern, retractions, withdrawals, or other appropriate editorial notices.

Where appropriate, such notices may remain associated with the original publication so that readers are aware of relevant changes to the scholarly record.

10. Third-Party Content

An open access publication may contain photographs, figures, tables, datasets, quotations, illustrations, or other material for which rights are held by third parties.

The licence applicable to the article as a whole does not necessarily grant permission to reuse third-party material separately where that material is identified as being subject to different rights or restrictions.

Users are responsible for determining whether additional permission is required before reusing third-party material.

11. Policy Updates

IJMRC may update this Open Access Policy when reasonably necessary to reflect changes in its publishing model, licensing arrangements, editorial practices, applicable law, or recognized scholarly publishing standards.

The current version of this policy will be made available on the official IJMRC website together with its applicable effective or last-updated date.

The copyright and licence terms applicable to an already published article remain determined by the terms associated with that publication, subject to applicable law and any expressly applicable agreement.
